We opted for the half-day tour, and Joel brought us to a few different spot with different environments to see a variety of species. He knows the island really well and it was very cool to see parts of Roatan I don't think we would have been able to any other way. Seamless communication right from the start on WhatsApp. Was able to set up the tour during our stay. Joel picked us up from our hotel in the morning and our family of four set off on a half day bird adventure! We traveled all over the island to really unique locations (up the mountains, to the mangroves, to the area with parrots) to see the widest variety of birds possible. Joel has the insider info to even find us amazing birds on private properties that no one else would be able to access. We learned lots about the island and its unique habitats. We had 21 new lifers! But saw far more birds, lizards, nature than that. One stop included a spot to buy drinks and visit the restroom, which was very thoughtful. My husband and I visited Roatan in March and wanted to make sure we saw as many birds as possible. We were so happy we had Joel showing us around! We saw so many birds, learned about plants, animals, lizards, got a wonderful tour of the land and the people.
